Professor to appear before federal standing committee
On February 7, 2022, the Standing Committee on Natural Resources launched a study on the Government of Canada’s proposal to cap greenhouse gas emissions from the oil and gas sector.
The committee is examining how an emissions cap could be designed and implemented, as well as various related issues. These issues include Canada’s ability to meet its climate commitments, the role of carbon capture, utilization and sequestration, and the potential effects of an emissions cap.
Professor Martin Olszynski will appear as a witness, bringing his expertise in environmental, natural resources, and water law and policy.
