Training the Next Generation of Cancer Immunotherapy Experts
The Riddell Centre is committed to training the next generation of scientists in the evolving field of cancer immunotherapy. Our training environment provides hands-on experience in cutting-edge research, alongside research rounds, monthly journal clubs, and regular invited speakers. Trainees also benefit from an annual research retreat, dedicated funding opportunities, the ability to participate in a patient-trainee co-mentorship program, and opportunities to engage with the broader community through outreach and events.

Research Rounds
The Riddell Centre hosts research rounds to foster knowledge exchange, critical thinking and collaboration. Held in-person at Foothills Campus with a virtual attendance option, these sessions provide a unique forum for discussing the latest advancement in cancer immunotherapy.
Funding Opportunities
The Riddell Centre is committed to attracting and supporting outstanding trainees. The Centre does this in part by offering funding opportunities targeted towards trainees at all educational stages, fostering their development and success.
Adult Clinical Fellowship Program
The Alberta Blood and Marrow Transplant Program (ABMTP) at the University of Calgary offers a minimum one-year clinical fellowship program that provides specialized training for physicians interested in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and cellular therapy (CT), with an optional second year to accommodate a specific research or clinical focus.
