Trainee Funding Opportunities
The Riddell Centre is committed attracting and developing exceptional trainees with outstanding academic and research achievements. The Centre will do this in part by offering the following funding opportunities.
Biomedical Engineering and Riddell Centre Partnered Summer Studentships
For undergraduate students
Application Deadline: 2025 Competition Closed
Funds Available:
- $2500 from the Riddell Centre, $2500 from Biomedical Engineering, and $2500 from the supervisor to support summer student stipends for up to 16 weeks ($7500 total)
This award is administered in partnership with Biomedical Engineering.
Riddell Centre Summer Studentship for Cancer Immunotherapy
For undergraduate students
Application Deadline: 2025 Competition Closed
Funds Available:
- $7500 from the Riddell Centre to support the summer student's stipend for up to 16 weeks
This award is administered in partnership with the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute.
Riddell Centre Emerging Cancer Scholar Award for Cancer Immunotherapy
For graduate students
Application Deadline: 2025 Competition Closed
Funds Available:
- PhD Students: $17,000 from the Riddell Centre with the supervisor and/or co-supervisor providing additional funds to meet at least the minimum stipend.
- MSc Students: $15,000 from the Riddell Centre with the supervisor and/or co-supervisor providing additional funds to meet at least the minimum stipend.
This award is administered in partnership with the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute.
Riddell Centre Postdoctoral Fellowship for Cancer Immunotherapy
For postdoctoral fellows
Application Deadline: 2025 Competition Closed
Funds Available:
- $35,000 from the Riddell Centre, with the potential for partnered funding from the Cumming School of Medicine, with the supervisor and/or co-supervisor providing additional funds to meet a minimum stipend of $60,000.
