The Riddell Centre for Cancer Immunotherapy

Established in 2023 through a transformational gift from the Riddell family to the OWN.CANCER Campaign, the Riddell Centre for Cancer Immunotherapy is a research centre of excellence at the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services that seeks to improve the lives of cancer patients through the development of innovative immunotherapies. As a core research focus of the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute, the centre brings together investigators from across multiple sites of activity, including the Cumming School of Medicine (CSM), the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital, to advance progress in cancer immunotherapy research and innovation. In developing new immune-based therapies, the Riddell Centre is advancing the goal of making Calgary home to some of the best cancer research and care in the world.
