Research Activities

Dr. Roumeliotis’ research is centered on translating technology and innovation towards broad clinical utility. This includes advancing treatment techniques in breast radiotherapy, improving brachytherapy implant quality, advancing methodology in medical education, and using artificial intelligence to better understand radiotherapy treatments. 



Dr. Roumeliotis completed his B.Eng. at McMaster University and Ph.D. at the University of Western Ontario, where he went on to complete his Radiation Oncology Physics CAMPEP-accredited residency at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Roumeliotis is now a Medical Physicist at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre with a clinical focus on brachytherapy and serves as the Program Director of the CAMPEP Medical Physics residency program.
